“Riverdale” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor, Luke Perry, was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles last Wednesday morning after suffering from a massive stroke.
Perry was responsive and talking when the paramedics first arrived on the scene after the stroke, according to multiple sources. After being rushed to the hospital, a family source reportedly told TMZ that Perry was placed in a medically induced coma.
A publicist for Luke confirmed that he has passed away Monday, March 4th following the massive stroke. His family including his children, siblings, fiancée and former wife, along with friends were among him when he died.
Luke Perry rose to international fame playing Dylan McKay on “Beverly Hills, 90210” through the 1990’s. “After the pilot, we felt there should be someone who is a little dangerous, a little on the edge, and we came up with the Dylan character,” late series producer Aaron Spelling told Rolling Stone in 1992.
He recently has starred as Fred Andrews, father to Archie, on the CW hit “Riverdale” since the show premiered in 2017. Some of his co-stars from the show also paid tribute to him after hearing about his stroke.
Luke’s “Riverdale” costar Molly Ringwald, who plays his ex-wife on the CW show, showed her love to Luke’s family via twitter today.

“Beverly Hills, 90210” star Ian Ziering, who played Steve Sanders in the ’90s hit, alongside Perry also shared his love with an old photo of the both of them.
