Since one has to spend 10 days on a liquid diet, you first need to prepare your body for it. You just cannot quit eating solid food. Here is what you should do:
Day 1 and 2: Cut out processed foods, alcohol, caffeine, and dairy products. Consume only green vegetables and fruits.
Day 3: Get yourself used to a liquid diet. Go for smoothies, soups, fresh fruit and vegetable juices.
Day 4: Drink only water and fresh orange juice. You can have organic tea before going to bed.
Day 5: You can start the Master Cleanse.
Ingredients needed for the Master Cleanse diet:
1 glass water
2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Organic tea or laxative tea
Sea salt to taste

A clear, pink tongue indicates that you have successfully completed the cleansing process. Side effects include food cravings, headaches, fatigue and being cranky of course… but, no pain, no gain (or loss), right??
