In case you somehow missed it, Cassie is pregnant (she’s 7.5 months now!), and early on in her pregnancy, she mentioned wanting to do something with a baby shower to help moms in need. She feels SO incredibly lucky that she has such an amazing support team of family and friends to help her through the pregnancy, that she couldn’t even IMAGINE having to go through it without those resources, but wasn’t sure how to go about helping other moms who need an extra hand.
Kristin took this and ran with it…and she and Molly, the Executive Director of Bert’s Big Adventure, surprised her with a work baby shower!
But there’s a twist – we want YOU to be a part of it!
Kristin brought in some very special people – Jamie Lackey, the Founder and CEO and Jan Ruth Mayheu, the Director of Individual & Community Support – of Helping Mamas to surprise her on-air!
This baby shower isn’t a traditional baby shower; this one is benefiting Helping Mamas, an organization that connects helping mamas to mamas needing help; they’re like a baby supply bank!
They accept donations from everything from new cribs and car seats, diapers, pull ups, diaper wipes, lotions, and baby shampoos to gently used strollers, clothes and toys for children ages birth to twelve years old.
So, the registry for Cassie’s shower is actually the Helping Mamas wishlist. Every gift bought in honor of and to celebrate Cassie and Chad’s baby is going to help a mom and their child in need.
