Friday morning we got a note from Kimberly. Kimberly is about to turn 21 and her parents recently got divorced.. her dad has since moved on, and is planning on bringing his much younger girlfriend to a family trip to Mexico for her birthday… that yeah, her mom will be at!!! Here’s the note that Kimberly sent us asking for help from the ArkLaTex:
Hi Jay,
It’s almost my 21st birthday and we’re taking a family vacation to Mexico. My parents got divorced last year, but they still get along. They’re still friendly and not awkward with each other. My dad has moved on and is dating a new person, she’s nice – but, she’s alot younger than my mom.. she’s ONLY 35!!! My dad is 66! My dad wants to bring her on my birthday trip to Mexico and my mom is acting like she doesn’t care, but, I don’t want her want there. I just want it to be me, my sisters and my mom and dad. Am I a jerk for asking my dad to NOT invite her??? – Kimberly
